In case you missed it over on, we have some exciting news! Robert Kirkman is producing a sci fi movie under the Skybound banner! Air will be produced by Kirkman, David Alpert, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Chris Ferguson, with a script from Christian Cantamessa and Chris Pasetto. Cantamessa will make his directing debut.

So what’s this have to do with The Walking Dead, aside from Robert, David Alpert (who’s an EP on The Walking Dead as well) and Skybound’s involvement? Air is set to star Walking Dead fave Norman Reedus and perennial badass Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Guardians of the Galaxy, Fast & Furious 7, two-time Oscar nominee).

A quick summary of Air: When Earth’s atmosphere is all but destroyed, humanity’s last hope is the personnel cryogenically frozen in an underground bunker. Reedus and Hounsou play the caretakers of the facility whose sanity is tested as they struggle to survive in the last bit of habitable space on Earth.
